Talk of the Town invites special guests to tell us all about the amazing things they are up to in the City of Roses. These special guests are Portlanders who’re making art, making food, or making a difference! Their stories and lives become inspiration for our hilarious team of improv comedians as they create characters and scenes on the spot that will have you in stitches. Previous guests include folks from Portland Center Stage, Desert Island Studios, Trans Voices Cabaret, Shady Pines Radio, Rose City Rollers, Hey Doc Clinic, Red Sauce Pizza, Portland Playhouse, Girls on the Run, Masala Lab, Cereus PDX, Women with Moxie, Sao Noi and many more!

This month's guest is Merry Ann Moore!

Merry Ann Moore is the volunteer captain for Sister District Project's Portland team. We are blue volunteers in blue states, about 60,000 strong, supporting blue candidates running for state legislatures in swing states. We do this through phonebanking, door knocking, postcarding and small donation fundraising. We've fundraised with everything from online comedy shows to cupcake baking to poker parties to open mics to Meet the Candidate zooms. Sister District national also advises campaigns on strategy, offers candidate training, and encourages candidates that don't win the first time to keep trying. One more initiative is State Bridges: supporting hardworking grassroots groups in swing states that register and persuade voters all year-round.
